The first Panthers Athlete of the Week of the spring semester is a member of the hardest working lacrosse team in the region. Pat Hartnett (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) takes the honors after a week that saw him score 13 points in two games.
The first game of the season for the Panthers came on Wednesday at Finger Lakes. Playing with no substitutions available, all ten players played the entire game, including overtime, in the team's 14-13 win. Hartnett was the leading scorer, netting eight points on four goals and four assists. He followed that effort up with four goals and an assist at Monroe on Saturday. His eight goals and five assists this week lead the team in both categories.
