Head Coach Ryan Stevens has announced several additions to the 2018 recruiting class.
Nate Chorney-Thomas A. Edison High
-Nate is a very good athlete who can play at a high level at multiple positions. During his senior season he led his team to an I.A.C. Championship with his bat and his arm on the mound. He is a very accomplished young man from the Southern Tier Region and was named Elmira Kiwanis Spring Athlete of the Year. Look for Nate to have an immediate impact on the Panthers baseball program.
Ryan Pepicelli-Schalmont High
-Ryan was a multi-sport athlete in high school and arrives in Dryden as a very polished baseball player who can make a huge impact on the mound, in the field, and with his stick. He has garnered multiple awards as an all-conference player and threw a no-hitter in sectionals his senior season.
Vinny Perrotta-New Hartford High
-Vinny is a quick-handed middle infielder from the Utica area. He brings speed, versatility, and athleticism to the recruiting class. Vinny also was a multi-sport athlete in high school, and will be able to pitch for the Panthers when needed.
Luis Castillo-Samuel Gompers High
-Luis is a strong, hard-throwing, right-handed pitcher who has led his high school team to multiple trips to the post season with dominating performances on the mound and at the plate.
Austin Skinner-Groton High
-Austin is a catcher who was named All-I.A.C. multiple times while starting behind the dish since his freshman season. Look for Austin to continue to make a name for himself in a Panthers uniform.
Josh Henry-Jean Vanier Catholic High (Collingwood, Ontario)
-Josh is a versatile baseball player who can play middle infield and outfield at a high level. He has been a part of the Ontario Athletics Baseball Club for many years and has developed into a quality college baseball prospect. We are excited to have Josh as a part of the program.
