  • Panthers Honored for Academic Excellence

    Seven Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Bridger Carreau (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter H.S.), Nicole Deselets (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.), Sage Garrison (Odessa/Odessa-Montour H.S.), Amanda Green (Lansing/Lansing H.S.), Liam Moneypeny Hall (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Austin Kulas (Moravia/Moravia H.S.),  and Kaylie Yerdon (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.) were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.

  • Irizarry and Smith Named All Region

    Two Tompkins Cortland Community College players have earned spots on the NJCAA Region III all-region team after helping the Panthers advance to the District A championship game for the second straight season. In voting by the coaches in the region, Anthony Irizarry (Middletown/Middletown H.S.) and Nick Smith (Cortland H.S./Cortland) were each voted to the second team.
  • Five Panthers Named All-MSAC Lacrosse

    Five Tompkins Cortland Community College players have earned spots on the Mid-State Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse all-conference team. In voting by the coaches from the five MSAC programs, Anthony Irizarry (Middletown/Middletown H.S.), Jack Collmer (Vernon/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill H.S.), Jonathan Phillips (Cortland/Cortland H.S.), Nick Smith (Cortland/Cortland H.S.), and Matthew Bisono (Deer Park H.S./Deer Park) were among the 20 named to the team. The five represent the most all-conference selections in a season in the history of Tompkins Cortland’s lacrosse program. Conference champion Onondaga Community College had the most all-conference selections with eight, followed by the five for conference runners-up Tompkins Cortland.
  • Panthers Lacrosse Season Ends with Championship Game Loss

    The winningest season in the history of Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse came to an end in the NJCAA Region III District A Championship game Saturday as the Panthers lost to national powerhouse Onondaga Community College, 35-2. The season ends with a record of 9-4 for the Panthers while the Lazers advance to the national tournament with a record of 13-0.
  • Panthers Win Playoff Opener Over Hudson Valley

    For the second straight year, the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team is heading to the NJCAA Region III District A Championship game. The Panthers advanced with an 11-8 win over Hudson Valley Community College in the opening round of the playoffs Wednesday, the second time the Panthers have beaten the Vikings this year and the second year in a row Tompkins Cortland beat Hudson Valley in the playoffs. The Panthers, ranked #10 in the nation, are now 9-3 overall and have tied the school record for most wins in a season.
  • Panthers Earn #4 Seed in Region III Playoffs

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team is heading back to the NJCAA playoffs. The Panthers are the #4 seed in the Region III Tournament and will host #5-seed Hudson Valley Community College at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will advance to the District A Championship against #1-ranked Onondaga Community College.
  • Panthers Fall in Battle of Top Ten Teams

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team entered Thursday’s game with Genesee Community College with the longest winning streak and the highest national ranking in the history of the program. The Panthers, winners of five straight and owners of the #10 spot in the latest NJCAA national poll, hosted #3 Genesee in a matchup of top ten teams, falling to the Cougars 23-5. The Panthers are now 8-3 overall and 7-3 in Region III while the Cougars improve to 9-2 overall and 7-1 in regional play.
  • Panthers Celebrate Return to National Rankings with Win

    On the day the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team returned to the national top ten, the Panthers used a run of six straight goals in the third quarter to rally for a lead, and then held on for a 12-11 win over a spirited Mercyhurst North East team. The Panthers, ranked #10 in the nation in this week’s NJCAA poll, are now 8-2 overall and 7-2 in Region III while the Saints drops to 5-6 overall and 3-5 in regional play.
  • Big Road Win Over Herkimer for Panthers Lacrosse

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team used a big second half to push its season-best winning streak to four games with Saturday’s 13-8 win at Herkimer College. The Panthers are now 7-2 overall and 6-2 in Region III while Herkimer drops to 4-4 both overall and in regional play.
  • Panthers Beat Finger Lakes for Third Straight Win
    April 10, 2018
    Another dominating performance for the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team ended with a 19-3 win for the Panthers over Finger Lakes Community College Tuesday. The win was the third straight and fifth in the last six games for the Panthers, who improve to 6-2 overall, 5-2 in Region III, and 3-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Finger Lakes drops to 0-8 overall, 0-4 in Region III, and 0-2 in the MSAC.
  • Irizarry Sets Scoring Records in Win

    Two records fell Friday as Anthony Irizarry (Middletown/Middletown H.S.) led the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team to a 19-12 win over Union County College (N.J.). Irizarry set new standards for points and goals in a game, scoring 16 points on 11 goals and 5 assists to help the Panthers improve to 5-2 on the year.
  • Panthers Lax Gets Back on Track with Record-Setting Win

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team put together a dominating performance Wednesday, beating Mohawk Valley Community College by a final of 20-2. The margin of victory is the biggest in the history of the program and improves the Panthers record to 4-2 on the year. Mohawk Valley drops to 0-3.
  • Nation's #1 Too Much for Panthers Lacrosse

    The top-ranked team in the nation proved to be too much for the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team to handle Saturday as Onondaga Community College handled the Panthers by a final score of 34-2. Onondaga, the defending national champions and #1-ranked team in the nation this season, improves to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. The Panthers drop to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the MSAC.
  • Fast Finish Overcomes Slow Start in Panthers Win

    Playing at home Wednesday, the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team showed the firepower needed to overcome a slow start and win going away. The Panthers spotted Hudson Valley Community College an early three-goal lead before roaring back to beat the Vikings 10-7. The Panthers are now 3-1 overall and in Region III while Hudson Valley drops to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Region III.
  • Dominating Win for Panthers Lacrosse

    Playing under the lights on a cold Wednesday evening in Watertown, the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team put together a dominating performance, beating Jefferson Community College 15-2. The win improves the Panthers to 2-1 overall and in Region III and 2-0 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference.
  • 2018 Spring Clinic Planned for Sunday, April 22

    The 2018 Panthers Lacrosse Spring Clinic is scheduled for Sunday, April 22. For ages 7 to 14, the Clinic will give players the chance to learn from Tompkins Cortland coaches and players.
  • Home Opener Ends with Loss to Nation's #8 Team

    Playing at home for the first time this season, the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team hosted the #8-ranked team in the nation Saturday. Taking on Monroe Community College, the Panthers struggled to mount much of an attack against the Tribunes, falling by a final score of 13-5. Both teams are now 1-1 on the season.

  • Panthers Lacrosse Opens Season with Win at Broome

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team opened the 2018 season Saturday, taking to the road for a Mid-State Athletic Conference showdown with SUNY Broome. The Panthers made the trip worthwhile, bringing home a 14-9 win to start the season with a 1-0 record.
  • Three Laxers Named All-Region

    Three Tompkins Cortland Community College players have earned spots on the NJCAA Region III all-region team, the most ever in the history of the program. In voting by the coaches in the region, Nicholas Daigle (Warwick Valley H.S./Warwick), Chris Polanco (White Plains H.S./White Plains), and Jonny Phillips (Cortland H.S./Cortland) were each voted to the second team.
