Heading into Thursday, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball season had a surprising footnote to their 2-3 record: the Panthers had lost all their home games and won all their road games. Hitting the road for the third time this season, the Panthers looked to keep that unexpected streak intact with a Region III game at Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Unfortunately for the visitors, the luck turned as the Panthers lost 90-63, leaving the Panthers with a record of 2-4 overall and 2-3 in Region III. Fulton-Montgomery is now 6-1 overall and 5-1 in Region.
Kyle Drysdale (Rosedale/Thomas Edison H.S.) was the lone Panther to reach double figures, netting 19 points. Jaiden Allen (Marlboro/Marlboro H.S.) led the team with five assists and four steals and Ja Don Crooms (Brooklyn/Boys and Girls H.S.) pulled down six rebounds.
With the road streak history, the Panthers will now look to change their fortunes at home. Tompkins Cortland hosts Mohawk Valley Community College Saturday at 1 p.m.
