Coach McDaniel returned to the course for the 2014-15 year and has added on to his already strong coaching credentials by makign a pair of return trips to the national tournament. He previously coached Tompkins Cortland for more than a decade, putting together one of the most impressive runs of success of any Tompkins Cortland team in any sport. During a four-year span, the Panthers won two Region III titles, never finished worse than third in the Region and had two top-seven finishes at nationals. He coached an individual national champion, a two-time All-American, three MSAC individual champions, and dozens of all-region and all-MSAC performers. Coach McDaniel has coached men and women golfers, including the College's first woman golfer to qualify for the national tournament, by working with each golfer on all facets of the game. His knowledge, experience, and coaching style translates to a positive experience for all his student athletes.
