The Panthers lacrosse team traveled to Pennsylvania to open the 2026 season, playing at NCAA Division III King's College. The home team opened strong and cruised past the Panthers, taking the game by a 17-2 final. King's College is now 2-2 this season.

King's scored the first nine goals of the game before the Panthers got on the board. With 11:16 left in the second quarter, Thomas Kirnie broke the ice with an unassisted score. King's added three more before the half, and then put five more up in the second half before Joey Vrendenburgh found the net in the last minute of play for the final score.

Goalie Cameron Cherry had 13 saves in his debut.

The Panthers open Region 3 on Wednesday, hosting Hudson Valley Community College in Dryden.
