Panthers Drop Non-Region Game at Home

The Panthers lacrosse team dropped a non-region contest at home on Saturday, falling to Delaware Technical Community College 19-7. The Panthers are now 0-3 while Del-Tech stands at 1-2.

The panthers were done in by a slow start. The visiting Roadrunners dominated the first quarter, while the Panthers didn't get a shot on goal. Things settled down for the Panthers in the second and third quarters, with he home team holding a 6-5 advantage in goals. The Panthers got within five goals in the fourth quarter, but Del-Tech scored the final seven goals of the game to run away with the win.

Thomas Kirnie scored four TC3's goals and assisted on two others. Joey Vrendenburgh finished with a goal and two assists and Jimmy Craft had the other goal. Mark Darling picked up a pair of assists and Casey Henderson had one helper.

Cameron Cherry had 15 saves in his goal.

Looking ahead

The Panthers return to Region 3 play, hosting Genesee Community college on Wednesday.
