The Panthers men's basketball winning streak ended at three games with a home loss on Saturday to Herkimer College. The 62-50 defeat leaves TC3 with an overall record of 3-3. Herkimer improves to 4-1.

The visiting General scored the first four points, but TC3 responded with a 16-4 run to lead 16-8 midway through the first half. Herkimer responded with a run of their own, closing out the half by scoring 19 of the last 23 points to lead 27-20 at the half. The Panthers cut the deficit down to two points by the midpoint of the second half, but Herkimer steadily pulled away to the 12-point final margin.

Malachi Brown led all scorers with 17 points. Jah-Mel Bruce had a team-best eight rebounds, but was held to seven points, ten less than his previous lowest scoring output this season.

Looking ahead

The Panthers close out the fall semester at home on Sunday against Mohawk Valley Community College.
