  • Nine Panthers Honored for Academics by Region III

    Nine Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been recognized as Academic All-Region by Region III of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Kimberly Duda (Homer/Homer H.S.), Jessica Fisk (Waterloo/Waterloo H.S.), Ryan Foody (Tully/Tully H.S.) Sage Garrison (Odessa/Odessa-Montour H.S.), Marcus Gonzalez (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Amanda Green (Lansing/Lansing H.S.), Erin Harkenrider (Dryden/Dryden H.S.), Austin Kulas (Moravia/Moravia H.S.), and Kaylie Yerdon (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.) were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.

    Head Coach Robert Rice has added another quality player to his recruiting Class of 2019. Waterloo High School standout Carlie Wilcox has signed her NJCAA National Letter of Intent to join the Panthers this fall.

  • Women's Soccer Places Three on All-MSAC Team

    Three Tompkins Cortland Community College players have been voted the Mid-State Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer All-Conference Team. Sophomore Sage Garrison (Odessa/Odessa-Montour H.S.) and freshmen Paris Good (Syracuse/Ithaca H.S.) and Shannon DeRosa (Poughquag/Arlington H.S.) were among the 21 players named to the team from the seven MSAC teams. SUNY Broome had six selections with conference champion Onondaga Community College next with five selections.
  • Panthers End Season with Road Loss

    The season came to an end for the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team Wednesday, with the Panthers losing at SUNY Broome 6-1. The result leaves the Panthers with a final record of 3-8-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Broome is now 11-4 overall and 5-1 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Drop Home Finale

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team played its final home game of the season Sunday. Under blue skies on a crisp autumn afternoon, the Panthers offense could never warm up, failing to mount many serious scoring threats while losing 2-0 to Mohawk Valley Community College. The loss leaves the Panthers at 3-7-2 overall and 3-7-1 in Region III. Mohawk Valley is now 9-2-2 overall and 8-2-2 in Region III.

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team set a new season high in goals with an 8-0 win over Cayuga Community College Thursday. The Panthers’ second win in a row improves their record to 3-6-2 overall, 3-6-1 in Region III, and 2-2-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Cayuga drops to 1-8 overall, 0-8 in Region III, and 0-5 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Rally for Overtime Win

    A perfectly placed pass and a textbook finish gave the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team a dramatic come-from-behind 3-2 overtime win over Finger Lakes Community College Sunday. The win snapped a five-game skid for the Panthers and leaves their record at 2-6-2 overall, 2-6-1 in Region III, and 1-2-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Finger Lakes drops to 4-9 overall, 4-7 in Region III, and 3-3 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Blanked at Home

    The Panthers' offensive struggles continued Wednesday as the Panthers failed to score, losing at home to Corning Community College, 4-0. The Panthers are now 1-6-2 overall, 1-6-1 in Region III, and 0-2-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning is now 4-4-2 overall and in region and 2-2-1 in the MSAC.
  • Panthers Shut Out at Genesee

    For the fifth time this season, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team could not find the net on the offensive end of the field, falling 3-0 Tuesday at #7-ranked Genesee Community College. The Panthers are now 1-5-2 overall and 1-5-1 in Region III. Genesee improves to 9-1 overall and 6-0 in region.
  • Panthers Drop Home Game to Onondaga

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team returned to Mid-State Athletic Conference play Saturday with a home game against Onondaga Community College. Despite a strong effort, the Panthers were handed a 3-1 defeat, dropping the team’s record to 1-4-2 overall, 1-4-1 in Region III, and 0-1-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Onondaga is 3-4-1 overall, 3-1-1 in region, and 3-0-1 in the MSAC.
  • Women's Soccer Falls to Another Nationally Ranked Team

    Playing a team ranked among the top teams in the nation for the second straight game, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team suffered its second straight shutout loss, this time falling 5-0 at #4-ranked Erie Community College Saturday. The Panthers are now 1-3-2 overall and 1-3-1 in Region III. Erie is 7-0 overall and 5-0 in region.
  • Women's Soccer Falls to Nation's Top-Ranked Team

    A solid effort ran out of gas Wednesday as the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team dropped a home contest to #1-ranked Herkimer College 3-0 Wednesday. The Panthers are now 1-2-2 overall and 1-2-1 in Region III. Herkimer is 5-0 overall and 3-0 in region.
  • Last-Minute Goal Gives Panthers First Win

    A goal with 28.3 seconds left in regulation gave the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team its first win of the season, a 3-2 final at Niagara County Community College Wednesday. The Panthers are now 1-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in Region III. Niagara is 1-3 overall and in region.
  • Panthers and Cannoneers Women Play to Scoreless Tie

    Despite controlling the ball most of the game, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team was unable to find the net, playing to a scoreless tie with Jefferson Community College Wednesday. The Panthers are now 0-1-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. It was the season opener for Jefferson.
  • Depleted Women's Soccer Team Loses at Home

    Sunday was a rough day for the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team as the depleted Panthers lost by a final score of 9-0 to Hudson Valley Community College. The Panthers are now 0-1-1 on the year while Hudson Valley improved to 2-0-0.

    A pair of goals from freshman Shannon DeRosa (Poughquag/Arlington H.S.) helped the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team earn a 2-2 draw with Holyoke Community College (Mass.) in the season opener for both teams.

    The Panthers have signed the first three members of the 2018 recruiting class. Head Coach Robert Rice welcomes three standouts in forward Brianna Allen from Marion High School, outside midfielder Halle Hauck from Madison High, and forward Shannon DeRosa from Arlington High.

    Nichole Deselets (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.) has been named to the NJCAA Region III Women’s Soccer All-Region team. The freshman defender was voted to the second team by coaches from the 17 teams in the region.

    Tompkins Cortland Community College’s Robert Rice has been voted the Mid-State Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year. Three Panthers joined Rice on the all-conference team: freshmen Serina Guilianti (Harrison/Harrison H.S.) and Nicole Deselets (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.) and sophomore Angela Martone (Candor/Candor H.S.). A total of 20 player were named to the team.

    The return trip to the NJCAA playoffs for the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team was a short one. The Panthers fell victim to a first–round upset Tuesday, losing at home to Mohawk Valley Community College 2-1. .
  • Panthers Knock Off Defending National Champs

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team ended the regular season on a high note by defeating the defending national champions Wednesday. Playing at home, the Panthers scored an early goal and made it stand in a 1-0 win over SUNY Broome.
  • Garrison Goal Gives Panthers 3-2 OT Win at Mohawk Valley

    The Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team worked overtime Sunday, earning a big 3-2 win at Mohawk Valley Community College. The win guarantees a winning record for the season for the Panthers and goes a long ways toward securing a home game when the NJCAA Region III playoffs begin.
  • Six Different Panthers Score in Home Win

    In the three games played since their last home game on September 27, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women’s soccer team scored a total of four goals. On their return to Dryden Wednesday, the Panthers used a diverse attack to score six times in a 6-0 win over Cayuga Community College.
